Global Javadoc Viewer

  This is an application that allows to browse, over the Internet and local drives, multiple javadoc sets by a convenient way, using a single packages/classes hierarchy tree.

  This version allows to browse the next javadoc API sets:

  • Specified in the configuration file (look to the help to know how to change the list). Initial configuration file contains the links to: j2se 1.5, j2ee 1.4, hibernate and some others docsets.
  • From the local filesystem, in a UN*X box: all javadoc sets installed to the /usr/share/javadoc/ directory (Jpackage Project rpm's install the javadoc sets there).


    • The application requires j2se 1.5+ to start. You can also download globaldocs.jar, and start it with the command: java -Xmx100M -jar globaldocs.jar
